Home vs Professional vs Room: Which Digital Center Edition Do I Need?
Digital Center comes in three editions: Home, Professional and Room. They share the same app, the same look and the same easy setup - the difference is what each one is allowed to do, and where it may be used. This guide explains each edition in plain words, shows a side-by-side comparison, and helps you pick the right one. For current prices, see the pricing page.
Which edition you need
The short answer
- Home - Digital Center for your own home. Your own music, films, videos, karaoke and games on the TV, Party Mode for the family party, and ZenPoint Media Manager to make karaoke from your own songs. For private use.
- Professional - everything in Home, plus the things a business needs: paid play per song (Credit Mode), your own logo instead of ours (white-label) and statistics. It is also the edition licensed for business use - bars, cafes, venues, events and rentals.
- Room - an extra screen for a home that already has Home or Professional. It plays the music, films, videos and karaoke another Digital Center machine on your network shares, and has its own radio, YouTube, photos, photo booth, weather and clock.
All three are a one-time purchase. There is no subscription, and updates within your version are free.

Home: the complete experience for your home
Home is the edition most people want. You point Digital Center at your own folders and get every center on the TV: your music library, your films, music videos, karaoke and retro games, plus radio, YouTube, photos, a photo booth, weather and a clock.
Home is also made for parties. Party Mode locks the screen so guests can only do what you allow - pick songs, but not wander into your settings - and with phone remote control the guests queue songs from their own phones. For karaoke nights, karaoke recording lets each singer take their song home on their phone.
ZenPoint Media Manager comes with Home at no extra cost. It is the companion app that tidies your library and turns your own songs into karaoke: it finds lyrics, makes a backing track without the singing, and times every word. See how to make a karaoke version of any song.
A Home machine can also share its libraries with the other Digital Center screens in your home - which is exactly what a Room screen needs.
Home is licensed for private use. If you want to use Digital Center in a business, choose Professional.
Professional: for bars, venues, events and rentals
Professional contains everything in Home, and adds three features plus the business license:
- Credit Mode - guests pay to have songs played, with a coin acceptor or a card and mobile payment terminal. The machine keeps a strict, shared balance and locks itself into a payment terminal. See how to turn your PC into a coin-operated jukebox.
- White-label - your own logo instead of the Digital Center logo, on the home screen, the startup screen, the screensaver, the players, the phone remote and the photo booth pictures. See white-label jukebox software for rental businesses.
- Statistics - a record of what was played, day by day, per hour and per center.
- Business use - Professional is the edition licensed for commercial use: a bar, a cafe, a shop, a venue, an event company or a jukebox and photo booth rental.
Professional is the right choice even if you only need the business license and none of the three extra features.
Room: an extra screen in another room
Room is for a home that already has Digital Center Home or Professional and wants another screen - in the kitchen, the bedroom, the kids' room or the garden room.
A Room screen has no music, film, video or karaoke folders of its own. Instead, it plays what your main machine shares over your home network. The four centers are all there and fully usable; the songs and films simply come from the other machine. Everything that does not need your libraries works on its own: radio, YouTube, your photos, the photo booth, weather and the clock, plus skins, the phone remote and several screens.
Room does not include Party Mode, the Arcade, karaoke recording, ZenPoint Media Manager, external programs or the ability to share its own libraries, and none of the Professional features.
Room needs a main machine
Which one should I pick?
- "I want Digital Center on the TV at home, for us and for parties." Home.
- "I run a bar, a cafe or a venue." Professional - you need the business license, and probably Credit Mode.
- "I rent out jukeboxes, karaoke machines or photo booths." Professional - for the business license and your own logo.
- "I already have Home and want music in the kitchen too." Room, for the extra screen.
- "I want to make karaoke from my own songs." Home or Professional - ZenPoint Media Manager is in both.
- "I want retro games on the TV." Home or Professional - the Arcade is not part of Room.
How the free demo works
Every new installation starts as a free 7-day demo with every Professional feature switched on. Nothing is held back, so you can test Credit Mode at your venue or Party Mode at your next party. When you buy, you enter your license code in Digital Center and the edition you bought takes over - your settings, playlists and skins stay as they are.
Moving up later
The editions are ranked: Room, then Home, then Professional, and each one contains everything in the editions below it. If you start with Home and later open a bar or start renting out machines, you can move up to Professional. Enter the new license code under Administration, About, and the new features appear straight away - no reinstall and no restart. Settings you made stay where they are. For current prices and upgrade options, see the pricing page.
