Option to turn off the player buttons

Asked by JustanotherAdam on November 7, 2026 - 1 reply

Hey Rick,

Just wondering if there is any way if there is an option to take away the ‘player controls’ from the main screen. I know I don’t have a need for them, cause I don’t want the music to be interrupted.

Does anyone else use these buttons at all ?

I think that realestate on the screen could be be more useful to show an extended upcoming song list that is already shown

hi @JustanotherAdam,

Yes, you can do this. The buttons only show for guests when the playlist allows them, so you can switch them off per playlist:

  • Open Administration and go to Playlists.
  • Select the playlist you use, and make sure "Available In Party Mode" is on.
  • Under "Guests (Party Mode)", turn off "Allow back", "Allow pause", "Allow next" and "Allow volume". If you also want the full-screen button gone, turn off "Allow full screen".
  • Turn on Party Mode (Administration, Users).

When the kiosk is locked in Party Mode and all the buttons are off, the control panel disappears and the row of upcoming songs uses that space instead.

The buttons are always shown while the kiosk is unlocked, because then the owner is standing at it. They also come back for anyone who logs in with the admin password.
