Minimise to task bar
Asked by Mark Norville on October 19, 2026 - 1 reply
HI Rick and Team,
A suggestion when you launch an external program, is there any way that this could be put into the task bar so that when you ALT TAB you do not see Zenpoint in the background.
When I am sat watching Kodi, I have a habit of pausing and then having a web page in the background just in case I want to check emails etc.
At the moment, Zen is a selectable feature but it would be fantastic if when not using it, it would be hidden and sat in the task bar.
When you exit out of Kodi, Launchbox etc it loads back up as per normal.
Yeah it is not a massive issue, but personally I think that it would look a lot better if it was hidden from sight.
Regards
Mark

Hi @Mark Norville,
You were right, and it will be in the next release.
When you launch an external program like Kodi or LaunchBox from ZenPoint, ZenPoint now stays quietly out of sight behind it:
- It no longer shows up in Alt+Tab or on the taskbar while the program is running. You can pause Kodi, Alt+Tab to your web browser to check emails and back again, without ZenPoint getting in the way.
- A small ZenPoint icon sits by the clock while it's hidden. Right-click it to play, pause or skip your music, or to bring ZenPoint back yourself if you want it.
- When you exit Kodi or LaunchBox, ZenPoint comes straight back as normal, right away and in the same place. If you use more than one screen, it comes back across all of them.
We've also made the switch to the external program and back smoother, so it should feel more seamless overall.
