ZenPoint Digital Center 6.0.31 is out

Asked by Rick on September 24, 2026 - 5 replies

A new version of Digital Center is ready, and this one is about control and polish: the Arcade can now be played with a real game controller, the sound can be shaped to fit your room, and Administration has been tidied up so everything is easier to find. A few of the highlights:

  • The Arcade gets a game controller - Xbox-style controllers and ordinary USB gamepads, such as SNES- and PlayStation-style pads, now work inside a running game next to the keyboard. You choose which button on the controller gives each game button, and pads whose round buttons come out a quarter turn wrong are fixed with a single tap. Hold Start and Back/Select for a second to leave the game. The Arcade is also ready straight away at startup, and new games appear by themselves.
  • Sound tone - choose how the sound should sound in your room: More bass, More clarity, Voices forward, Small speakers, or your own setting for bass, middle tones and treble. The sound can never be distorted, and you hear every change straight away while Administration is open, so you can set it by ear. Normal leaves the sound untouched.
  • A "New" badge and your own bottom menu - music, films, videos and karaoke songs added in the last days get a small "New" badge on the cover. In each library center you can also hide the bottom menu pages your guests do not need. If you hide everything except Search, the center opens directly on the search field, which is handy for very large collections.
  • Themes that dress the extra screens - besides the look and the effect, a theme can now decide what each extra screen shows while it is active, such as a Christmas video or a crackling fire from YouTube. Switch the theme off and the screens go straight back to your usual choice.
  • Photo Booth mirrors like a mirror - the camera view can now be mirrored while the photo is saved the normal way, so guests move naturally in front of the camera and text in the picture can still be read. Decorations stay exactly where the guest put them, also in collages.
  • Administration you can find your way around - the menu is now sorted into fixed groups, related settings sit together on one page, all library centers share the same sections in the same order, and a playlist's settings are shown in six clear blocks. Before payment or Party Mode switches other settings off, you now see exactly which ones.

There is much more: skipping a song now fades the old one out under the new, long titles glide slowly across the screensaver instead of being cut off, zipped karaoke songs with graphics play straight from the zip again, and guests can search a paid YouTube playlist with every song costing a credit. There is also a long list of fixes, most importantly for large libraries on a network drive, which now open quickly without making the kiosk wait.

If you have an Arcade, try a game controller first. Plug it in, start a game, and open Administration, then Arcade, to choose which button does what.

Click "Read more" on the 6.0.31 entry for the full walkthrough, including tips on how to try each new feature. The changelog is available in your own language.

How to update: open Setup on the front screen, go to Administration and choose Updates. Digital Center then downloads and installs the new version for you, and restarts when it is done.

Excellent update as always. Fantastic to see that you can now turn off some features such as artist etc and just use search.

Far too many artists, songs etc to list so a simple search to find what you want is excellent.

Hi Mark,

Thank you for the kind words. We're really glad the new option works well for you.

A quick tip: this is set separately for each center. To do the same in Karaoke, Video or Movies, open Administration, choose that center and use "Pages in the bottom menu". If you turn off everything except Search, the center opens straight on the search field.

The Search and Playlist pages always stay, so guests can still find a song and see what is coming up.

Hi Rick,

I just updated to 6.31 and I no longer have a jukebox any more, just a list of songs and at the bottom a search function.

I have been trying to get it back to normal, but I hate the list of songs as it is no longer a jukebox any more.

The guests should be able to use the jukebox as per normal, I must be running as a guest on my system, so they have a jukebox feel and instead of seeing genre, artist etc there is a search function so they can click/touch on that and search for an artist.

The layout now just having those songs is very bad in my eyes as it detracts from it being a jukebox.

How do I get it back to looking like a jukebox please? As I say, if I was a guest in someone's home, then I would want to see and have a jukebox experience which would make me go WOW what software is this, and then buy it for myself.

The list and just search at the bottom, would not make me want to buy the software.

Sorry for being a bit shocked, but I am shocked, sadly not in a good way.

Regards

Mark

Hi Mark,

Sorry about the shock. Nothing is broken, and your jukebox is only a few taps away.

Version 6.0.31 adds a setting where you choose which pages guests see in the bottom menu. It's the feature you asked for on the forum. A centre always opens on the first page that is switched on. If every page except Search and Playlist is off, the centre opens straight on Search, and Search lists all your songs. That is the list you're seeing.

To get the jukebox look back and keep Search at the bottom:

  • Open Administration and choose Music under Centers.
  • Go to the "Discover" section and find "Pages in the bottom menu".
  • Tap "Albums" so the tile is lit. This is the cover view with your jukebox effect.
  • Leave the pages you don't want guests to use (Artists, Songs, Genres and so on) unlit. Search and Playlist are always shown.

Music will now open on the album covers, with Search in the bottom menu for guests who want to look up an artist.

If you'd like the Search page to start empty until a guest types something, turn on "Start search empty" on the same Music settings page.

If you use Karaoke, Movies or Music Videos in the same way, repeat these steps for each of them. Every centre has its own setting.

If it still doesn't look right after this, just let us know.

Hi Rick,

Thanks for your reply, I managed to get it up and running with a bit of playing around.

In music centre, you have to have albums on by default otherwise as you say it will go to search, when I installed the update that was how it became out of the box, I did not change any settings.

What I meant for at the bottom is that you have no icons just a search button or field at the bottom of the screen, so you can click on that and do a search.

The jukebox should always look like a jukebox and not a search page. I was having kittens trying to work it out lol

I had a look at music videos as well, it would be fantastic if you only had one image of an artist, if you have music videos grouped by artist name.

At the moment, I only have one artist which is Adele, but instead of one main picture of the artist, there is four in one tile.

It would be fantastic if that was just one image so it looks a lot better (in my eyes) the same would be for music as well, if you could have a folder image of say Bon Jovi, and if you group by artist, it would show an image of Bon Jovi rather than say an album cover.

I have not really gone much into the admin, well I did this morning but I still need to go through it again as ideally I want to turn off the play, pause, skip etc so no one can change a song.

I think I did see it this morning, but my main focus was getting it back looking like a normal jukebox lol

Almost the weekend, so I hope you are having the weekend off

Regards

Mark
