ZenPoint Digital Center 6.0.29 is out
Asked by Rick on September 18, 2026 - 2 replies
A new version of Digital Center is ready, and this one is about your guests. A few of the highlights:
- The phone remote grows up - guests can now browse on their phone the same way they do on the screen: by Popular, Genres, Year, Added and Favorites. They can add their name so "Requested by" shows next to their songs, follow everything they asked for in the new "My songs" tab, and get a nudge when their song is next. A song that is already in the queue says so instead of offering Add, and the remote can be saved to the home screen and opened like an app.
- Real crossfade between songs - with "Fade between tracks" switched on, the next song now starts a few seconds before the current one ends, and the two blend into each other. You choose the length, from 1 to 12 seconds. Songs that follow each other on the same album, such as a live album, play straight into each other without a fade.
- Favorites, Add Similar and Undo - Music, Music Videos, Karaoke and Movies each have a Favorites page, filled with a star in the song window. "Add Similar" puts up to ten songs of the same style in the queue, and if you remove a song, shuffle or clear the queue by mistake, an Undo button stays on screen for five seconds.
- Photo Booth is ready for rentals - the booth now shows only today's pictures, so the guests at one event never see the previous event's photos. In the settings you can browse the pictures day by day, delete a single one, and save a whole day as one zip file. The booth can also start on your own collage, motif and filter.
- One code connects all your screens - on the machine that holds your music and films, press "Share and show a code", type the six-digit code on the other screen, and it is connected. New songs on the sharing machine appear on the other screens within seconds, and a phone can switch between the screens in the house without scanning a new code.
- A setup guide and a safety net - a fresh installation now starts with a short guide through language, media folders, screens and the phone remote. Your whole setup can be backed up to a folder every day, and a machine moving on to a new place can be reset to its starting point, with a backup made first.
There is much more: the screensaver shows the next song and how many are waiting, an extra screen can show a YouTube video or live stream, the search in Administration finds individual settings, artists starting with "The" are sorted under the next word, a blurred cover fills the empty space around a film, the Video Center is now called Music Videos, guests see calm messages instead of technical errors, the kiosk starts itself again after a crash, and ZenPoint Media Manager can find duplicate songs and undo the last save. There is also a long list of fixes that make large libraries and kiosks running for days lighter and steadier.
If you run a kiosk for guests, try the phone remote first. Scan the QR code, open a center and tap "Browse by", then add a song with your name and open "My songs".
