License Move Help

Asked by galegovision on September 14, 2026 - 4 replies

Rick, I'm trying to move my license to a new computer. I have the original license file from the old version (almost 10 years ago). I tried to load it and I get the message, "This license has been deactivated. Please contact support". I know the manaul talks about the "My license" section on this site, but I can't seem to find it. There is nothing under my profile. Maybe you can point me in the right direction.

Thanks

The licence is locked to the computer.

You will need to request a new licence, when you receive your new licence the old one will be cancelled and zenpoint will not be activated on your old computer.

I had to do this myself a couple of years ago.

Hi @galegovision,

Thanks for reaching out, and sorry for the trouble.

Your old license file is fine. Digital Center accepts license files from older versions and moves them over to the new version by itself. The message means the license itself has been switched off on our side, and that also explains why you can't find "My Licenses". That page only appears on your profile once your account has at least one active license, and a switched-off license isn't shown there.

You can't fix this yourself, but we can. Please send us a message through www.zenpoint.org/contact with:

  • The email address you used when you bought the license
  • The license file itself, if you can attach it

Please don't post these details here in the forum.

Once we have them, we'll find your license, switch it back on and link it to your account. After that, "My Licenses" appears in your profile, and you can activate your new computer with the same license file.

We'll get back to you as soon as we've looked into it.
