Effects Request

Is it possible to have an effect for the Main Menu that show bigger buttons on the screen. Size would depent on how many plugins you have active. I typically only have Music, Videos, and sometimes Radio active. I really don't like when its just 3 buttons and they are all small. I'm personally not a fan of the cover flow style, mainly because my guests can't figure it out, lol. I like to have all the choices available. I just dislike when they are small buttons. It is tough to explain, sorry. I attached some photos I did in paint that will hopefully help. The more plugins enabled the size of the buttons would decrease.

This is coming in the next release. There will be a new effect called Fill screen, and it does exactly what your sketches show. It is the same calm grid you already know, but the tile size comes from how many tiles there are instead of being fixed. Two tiles sit side by side, three become two on top with one centred underneath, and four become a 2x2 block, with the whole group sitting in the middle of the screen with air around it. Nothing scrolls, because everything is on screen at once.
You will also be able to set it for the front page alone. Go to Administration → Effects, where you will find a new Front page setting next to the global one. Leave the global effect as it is, set the front page to Fill screen, and you get the big buttons on the main menu while Music and Videos keep the layout you already have. The choice is saved, so it survives restarts.
You do not have to worry about it in a large library either. When there are so many items that the tiles could not get any bigger anyway, the effect quietly falls back to the normal scrolling grid on its own. There is nothing to switch off and nothing to keep an eye on.
Your current setup is untouched, by the way. The default effect has not changed, so nothing will look different until you pick the new one yourself.
