That would be based on your operating system. What are you running?
I am assuming you want to program to launch and no one see the OS booting? Or you don't care, you just want it to autolaunch? |

That would be great if I could launch it without OS.
Thank you

You should try Instant Sheller. Here is a link to it and how to use it. |

Thank you AVG, after taking a look at the programs you showed me I found an alternative. It will load the program at bootup, but without doing anything else. So if you are looking for something and you dont care about the bootscreen etc this is the easiest.. I used http://www.eventghost.org/ Here are a few steps for making it work Open Eventghost
- Right click on "AutoStart" click "Add Action"
- Under "System", click "Start Application"
- Filepath to executable should be:
- C:\Program Files (x86)\ZenPoint\DigitalCenter (or something similar)
- Command line options are:
- -fs -p (for full-screen, portable-mode)
- Working Directory is:
- C:\Program Files (x86)\ZenPoint
- Thanks!

Kjthadon, Glad you found something. There are several ways to auto launch the program with Windows without the need for a program, but as long as it works and it's not malicious, your good. The nicest looking way is to hide the Windows boot and it looks like it launches straight into the program, it is also more difficult and/or tedious to do so. |

Thank you Avg. I do have one more thing I am curious about. When the computer does load up, it does show the desktop etc until Mediacenter loads. Would I need to do those steps provided in the link you gave me to hide it? Also, I would like to be able to access the desktop at times to browse files, internet etc. Is that still possible with those ways?

make a link to explorer.exe (in Windows directory) within Zenpoint setup to make a new external app called Exlorer. Then just click on it from the Zenpoint home screen. I also did this with hibernate so you don't have to wait for reloading all of the music when you start. |

Kj, Yes, those steps in the link will let you completely hide windows. I believe they were written for XP, but they will be similar, if not the same, for Win7. You dont need to do all of the steps, some steps are to hide the windows image when booting, hiding cursors, and hiding shutdown.
Heretic has a good suggestion for getting to the desktop, but your questions make it seem as if you want to keep unauthorized people out. That suggestion will work if you have your system in party mode and password protected. That will keep users from going to the home screen and clicking explorer. Another way is just a plain old ctrl+alt+del and run explorer.exe from the task manager IF it doesn't automatically launch when you close DC. |
